Dan began his association with
LIGHTHOUSE
long before his first official
performance as the band's lead vocalist.

Dating back as far as 1977 at the age of 19, Dan was
discovered by
LIGHTHOUSE
founding member and drummer extraordinaire,
Skip Prokop
who immediately hired Dan to be the lead vocalist and front man for
The Skip Prokop Band
which enjoyed moderate success throughout Canada and the U.S.
lasting over 2 years.
Skip left for personal reasons so Dan and the
remaining members pressed on
and formed a new group known as Suspect who also enjoyed varying levels
of
success.
In later years, Dan had the pleasure of meeting and
working with
LIGHTHOUSE co-founder and guitar virtuoso, Ralph Cole, who had
become, and remains to this day, a highly respected producer, notably of
national and regional radio and television commercials throughout Canada and
the U.S.
Ralph took Dan on as one of his vocalists and in no time Dan became
one of
the most sought after commercial singers in Canada and parts of the U.S.
throughout the early 90's right up to, and including today.
Dan's dynamic vocal abilities were brought to the attention
of yet another
co-founder of LIGHTHOUSE, Paul Hoffert, who had been encouraged by
both Ralph and Skip to listen to Dan sing at the TARTAN
TAVERN; a local night
club
in Oshawa, Ontario and on that same evening, in 1992, Dan officially became
the
newest member of the 4-time Juno award winning legendary Canadian super-group
LIGHTHOUSE

Dan had an immediate positive impact on the band, injecting a
powerful new vocal and physical presence on stage fronting the band
which has helped to keep LIGHTHOUSE in constant demand throughout
North America.
Since joining this powerful line-up of musicians, Dan has
experienced many
career highlights, including a reunion concert with
LIGHTHOUSE and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in Edmonton,
Alberta
as well as touring Brazil and South America with
LIGHTHOUSE
as
ambassadors representing Canada joined by Canadian jazz greats
Oscar Peterson, and Ed Bickert.

In 1999,
LIGHTHOUSE re-released a brand new CD of 13 original
songs
entitled: Song Of The Ages which is currently available in retail
stores across
North America under the True North recording label distributed by
Universal Records and there are currently plans underway for a
second
LIGHTHOUSE release in the not too distant future!
Along with being the lead vocalist for
LIGHTHOUSE, Dan has also
enjoyed
the opportunity to write some of the band's new material and
besides Skip Prokop and bassist Doug Moore,
Dan was a major song writing contributor on
the Song Of The Ages CD; co-writing no less than 6 of 13 tracks.
Dan's distinctive and electrifying vocals coupled with
his dynamic stage
presence enhance this powerful LIGHTHOUSE line-up that continues to
astound audiences internationally and throughout North America
"Danny", as he's referred to by band members,
"has extraordinary vocal range, climbing from silky lows
to notes that soar into the stratosphere."
